Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Change is hard, but it is not impossible. Day by day we are faced with so many changes and there are just so many decisions to make. Our guide? Back to Allah and Rasul.
Once in a while you may trip and fall. You may suddenly revert back to the way you used to be. You may at one moment felt lazy to do jamaah at the surau or masjid. You may one day find it hard to open up the Quran. Instead, you prefer to dwell in all the dunya stuff. All those fantastic movies in your laptop just waiting to be watched and enjoyed.
The sound of adhan reverberates, disturbing the stillness of the air. But you still stay at your spot, unable to move. Or is it because you don't want to? Or is it because of your nafs? Shaytaan?
"Just a little bit more..."
As a human, it is okay to err. Making mistakes and stumbles are perfectly normal for a human in order for them to become stronger. Stronger in the sense of their imaan, and eagerness to give to Allah. Stronger in facing their daily battle with nafs and shaytaan. Stronger in going against the tide of hedonism that seems to be engraved in the hearts of the people nowadays.
Be strong for Islam.
For what matters is, you have to get back up. I have to get back up. And preferably, take someone's hand while you're at it. Be it your family of friends. Make sure that you're not going to stand up alone. And there's so many ways you can go back to Him. (Attending Islamic lectures is one of my favourite ways of trying to get back up. I feel blessed that here in KMS, there will be talks given by the seniors or ustaz between the Maghrib and Isha' prayer. And if there isn't one, the YouTube is always a great alternative.)
May Allah gives us all strength. Amin.
