Mizobata Junpei

I finally found my new obsession :)

Detective Conan Special 2011
That was actually a lie. I had been obsessed with this Japanese guy for a month now ever since I watched the newest Detective Conan live-action drama 2011, where Mr. Mizobata Junpei acted as the main character, Kudo Shinichi. Call me immature, but I love the drama and the story. Detective Conan had been keeping me sane from dying of boredom after SPM.

Unlike the previous live-actions, this time I actually approve of the actress that played Mouri Ran. She had always been my favourite character so imagine my glee when this time, they nailed it.

I love it when a female character can kick asses :3

Now allow me to leave and obsess on him more :)

My Dad Is A Cowboy

Yesterday evening, my dad returned home from his office, announcing a dinner that he will attend that very night with a theme: THE WILD WILD WEST.

wild wild west indeed.
Long story short, the whole family got excited. I doubt that everyone will get the chance to play dress-up with their father, so here is my chance to shine as the future international designer good daughter I am, to recommend the best outfit for my beloved father.

Time is ticking. There was no way that we can hop on our highly trained horses my dad's car and drove off to the costume store, (if there's any in Kuching. Is there?) and get a cowboy outfit right away. We just had to make do with anything that we had in the house.

The result? Not too bad, not too bad.

Surprise, surprise. My dad returned home that night, with a huge hamper, announcing that he won the bloody "Man-of-the-Night" title.

I don't know what to say. Anyway, congrats dad! May I suggest a Bollywood theme for the next year's dinner?

JENESYS : A Year Later

This month marks the one-year anniversary of my JENESYS experience. So far, it had been one of the wildest adventure I had ever been, exploring the nook and crook of my favourite Japan for two weeks. Here's two fun facts : it was for free and no parents are allowed.

A year later, where am I? Still, there is no reunion planned for all 56 Malaysians that went on the programme. I still try to be as active as possible volunteering in AFS programmes, though.

a small reunion by themselves, at Midvalley. Humph.
I would say that the relationship that I had with my fellow AFSers is kind of special. We ventured into a strange country with a total different culture and language from Malaysia and two weeks had created a bond that can last into a lifetime.

I really wish we will have a reunion soon.
